Commuter Benefits Program
The Commuter Benefits Program allows you to pay for your commuting costs through automatic, pre-tax payroll deductions, up to the annual IRS limit. Paying for these expenses before taxes are deducted decreases your taxable income. So, you save on Federal income tax, FICA (Social Security) tax, and State income tax (except MS, NJ, and PA).If your expenses exceed the tax limits, you can combine pre-tax deductions with additional post-tax deductions to purchase transit passes, railway tickets, or vouchers.
You can also save time when you participate in the Commuter Benefits Program if you elect to receive your transit passes in the mail or have your parking attendant paid directly.
