Rules for Healthcare FSA Debit Card
Pharmacies and drug stores are required to have an IRS approved inventory system in place to be able to accept the Healthcare FSA Debit Card. When you use your Debit Card to pay for purchases at some pharmacies, you may need to verify your purchase with WageWorks. For more information, see "How the Plan Works"in the Healthcare Flexible Spending Account section.
The Corporation offers you the opportunity to participate in spending accounts that help you reduce your taxable income and pay for everyday expenses such as day care costs, medical expenses and money spent traveling to and from work.
You can choose to participate in two separate Flexible Spending Accounts—a Healthcare FSA and a Dependent Day Care FSA. Healthcare FSAs are used for eligible medical-related expenses. Dependent Day Care FSAs are used for eligible day care-related expenses. Dependent Day Care FSAs are not used for dependent health care expenses.
You also have the opportunity to participate in the Commuter Benefits Program, which allows you to set aside pre- and post-tax earnings to pay for certain commuting expenses. You can save time with this benefit by purchasing tickets or vouchers online for home delivery.
