Enrollment Decisions
Should I Enroll?
As you think about your medical options, be sure to consider the following:
-
Can I get adequate coverage elsewhere, such as through my spouse's employer's plan?
-
Do I need to cover my family members, or can they be covered by another plan?
Remember, if you do not enroll when you are first eligible, you may not be able to enroll until the next annual enrollment period.
Which Plan Is Right for Me?
To help you decide which medical option is right for you, you can use eValuator®.
The eValuator® is a confidential web-based tool that takes only a few minutes to use. It prompts you to answer a series of questions about your healthcare needs and typical usage. Based on the information you provide, you will see a comparison of out-of-pocket costs you can expect under each of the medical options.
You can compare McGraw-Hill coverage to coverage you can obtain under your spouse's or domestic partner's plans. eValuator® even allows you to model "what if" projections for unexpected expenses and helps calculate your FSA contributions.
To use eValuator®, visit www.my-benefits.com/mcgrawhill and click the Start button. You will be prompted to provide some basic information: your home zip code and your salary range. Click "Cost Comparison" then "Usage Level." For each family member you plan to cover, you can indicate "basic," "moderate" or "complex" usage of medical services.
The information for "basic," "moderate" and "complex" usage is pre-populated with certain assumptions, but eValuator® will let you Modify Services by clicking the specific services you would like to manually update. Once you have built your estimate, click See Results.
